AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
